We all loved the show, right? Or at least the costumes. Fashion wise, MadMen was an amazing show and I loved every minute of it. When the show aired for the first time, I remember all the fuss and talk about it but it left me pretty much indifferent and uninterested. It was this spring I decided to finally give it a try and see what in the world is so amazing about this show.

Quite frankly I was equally unimpressed after the final episode as I was at the beginning of my `50s inspired TV journey. So, the show was ok, I wouldn`t give it another go, but my eyes were burning from all the sartorial stimulation.

So naturally from all the binge watching (funny I really did binge watch the entire show although I didn`t quite like it) I wanted to channel that Joan Holloway spirit in front of the camera. By myself. And I had the perfect dress for it.

Although Joan`s style was not my favorite I think she still was one of the most memorable characters of the show.

My favorite fashion style of the MadMen era was early Betsy. That pink-black-white swing dress she wore to the audition… man, that is one amazing dress!

And let`s not forget her all black bee hive and pearls outfit in Rome, but that is a whole another story.

Looking back, I could`ve used more red lip, but it`s too late now.

What do you think? Would you hire me? :D
