Hello November fall quote F. S. Fitzgerald

Hello November!

Hello everyone!
How did you spend your Halloween and the weekend? I hope it was good and scary.

I love new beginnings, new chances and clean slates. Start of the month gives me that butterflies-in-stomach feeling. And fall… when it is golden but icy, sunny but with fog in the morning and frost all over.
I love fall.

With start of the new month all kinds of lists come to mind, challenges and interesting things to do.
If you remember, in September I wrote a post about fall reboot and how to energize your life when it looks like everything around you is going to sleep.
This November we are going to add some amazing things to that list. Like gratitude and being thankful. Not just because Thanksgiving is near (which we, in Croatia, we don`t celebrate), but because gratitude and thankfulness are always welcome and great habits to cultivate.

Bonus idea: Start a gratitude journal. Bring grateful is important for your inner peace, healthy spirit and happiness. After a few weeks you will see the difference and after few months you will be glad you started this.

November has begun with a lovely and sunny Monday morning, with frost covering everything around us. It was below zero, but I enjoyed the crisp air biting my nose and tingling my lungs. Everything is golden and nature is wearing the most beautiful gown it owns (You know I will be saying the same when all will be peacefully covered with snow).

New month.
New beginning.
New start.
New mindset.
New focus.
New intentions.
New results.

… as I mentioned before, new lists. How about a photo challenge? I know it is already the 2nd of the month but you/we can still join in. This one seems interesting. Let`s try it!

Speaking about lists, now is the time to start preparing for December and that lovely holiday season. Ordering gifts and thank you cards, planning outfits for New Year˙s Eve. During November you can also:

  • Decorate your home with fall colors, with leaves and acorns.
  • DIY Thanksgiving aprons
  • Celebrate Sandwich day on Nov 3rd
  • ..and Espresso day on Nov 23rd
  • Make pumpkin pancakes (or pumpkin everything for that matter)
  • Make 2016 book reading list
  • Make Christmas ornaments
  • Give Thanks on Nov 26th
  • Start your Holiday cheer on Nov 29th – beginning of Advent

Also, November is NaNoWriMo month and it started yesterday! I have decided to participate this year, at least unofficially, just to do some writing and to battle resistance.
When it comes to NaNoWriMo, I have heard about it years ago but never really had a reason or motivation to participate. This year I was just browsing around and got reminded of it by Chelsea, a girl who loved to write.

Talking about NaNoWriMo challenge there are few (or so many?!) things to keep in mind and Chelsea was amazing #badass writer #girlboss and shared her tips for “surviving” that writing month. You will need a checklist too. And when you get overwhelmed by a writer’s block, and you will, she has tips how to get rid of it.

I think the most important thing on my NaNoWriMo checklist is  – read Chelsea! I can say that she has been my favorite read for past few weeks.

Wish me luck!
